THE ABCs of FAITH - Lesson 17

So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
Romans 10: 17

My passion is to see the everyday believer get a hold of the concept of Bible faith. Faith is not just available to the "super-spiritual", but for all Christians. As I was driving home from Church last night and praying, I sensed the Spirit of God impressing me to make the daily lessons more simple, short and specific. He spoke to my heart to give you a thought that you could chew on all day to help you line upon line in your walk of faith. As a result, today we are going to start to lay out a step by step plan from the Word to help you in obtaining faith.


UNDERSTANDING THE LACK OF FAITH
Many speak of their lack of faith but the real reason for a lack of faith is often a lack of knowledge. Faith accompanies knowledge. If you are going to be strong in faith you must be strong in the knowledge of the Word. Romans 10: 17 tells us how we get faith.

You must feed upon the Word in your quiet time and listen to ministers as they teach the Word to get faith. Lack of faith is a due to a lack of knowledge or understanding of the Word. Unbelief is often a result of a lack of understanding. There are 6 areas of understanding you must have to obtain New Testament, Bible faith.


#1 Understanding of what it means to be a new creation.


2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation.

We are not just forgiven sinners we are new creations in Christ Jesus. If we were just forgiven sinners we would still be children of the devil. We are born again and have the very life and nature of God in our spirits... The old man is dead - The real me has become a new creature (creation) in Christ Jesus. We are Born again! A new creation! Many do not know that they have eternal life so it hinders their faith. Spend time today meditating on the fact that you are a new creation in Christ with the very life and nature of God in your spirit. Understanding the new creation is the first building block for Bible faith.
